Enchanted City at the Market

Free Winter creative fun and a slice of art after dark magic at Newcastle Christmas Market.

Friday 27 November: 4pm–6.30pm

As dusk falls, catch roaming performers, stumble upon pop-up surprises and get hands-on with free, artist-led creative workshops for all ages during your market visit.

Saturday 28 November: 12noon–6.30pm

Give your Saturday market visit, a creative glow up! Get hands-on with free, drop-in winter themed creative workshops with artists from 12 noon to 4pm, then follow the lights of the small (but mighty) community lantern parade, led by Moving Parts Arts, at 4pm.

And then, as the winter stars come out, the fun starts with little bursts of illuminated winter magic, and roving performances; things to see, do and have a go at from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Enchanted City at the Market is free to enjoy during your Christmas Market visit - all activity is drop in and stumble upon across the market site; look out for Enchanted City volunteers and signage.
